Doing the same thing over and over, without getting the results you want is freaking exhausting.

At what point do you finally wave the white flag to say, “What I’m currently doing in my life is NOT working out for me?”

Maybe you’ve already been secretly waving that flag when no one is looking. However, waving the I-need-a-change flag and doing something about it is two different things.

Ready for change now?? ====> Sign up for the Mini Go Rogue Challenge for FREE!!

This is where many of us get stuck. We want to make a change, but we don’t know how or where to start? It’s also when we start making that list in our head of why we can’t make the desired changes we want in life.

If you’re like me, you’ve mastered the art of creating a long list of reasons why now is not the time to make a change in your life.

My top roadblocks (excuses) I tell myself:

–       I can’t change because I don’t have the money

–       I don’t have the time

–       I don’t know where to begin

–       It’s not the right time to start

–       I’m afraid to make a change in my life (if I’m really being honest)

The best advice I can give is to not make that list. Yet, we both know it doesn’t matter what I say because there is nothing stopping you from creating your own laundry list of roadblocks.

So don’t fight it, take a piece paper and write a list of all the things you think stand in the way of you making the desired changes you want in your life. Don’t half-ass it either, put some serious thought into this list.

Once you are positive you’ve thought of everything, burn or rip up that list as if you accidentally voted for Trump.

Now you’re ready to know the 5 easy ways to make a change in your life.

1. Make a Conscious Decision to Change

Sounds like a no-brainer first step, but that little shift in your thinking is a game changer. Don’t believe me? Think about a time in your life when you said, “I’m tired of settling” or “I want something better for myself!” Those were also the times when you were more determined and most likely to succeed at making a change in your life.

2. Start Small

For a change to be transformational it doesn’t need to be some grand gesture. Start with something simple and work your way up.

3. Tracking Your Spending

Let’s be honest, money matters. It can help change your location, bankroll your dreams, and ease your mind. Knowing exactly how much you are spending on a daily basis is like an intervention into how much you could be saving.

4. Challenge Yourself

What you’re currently doing to get by has gotten you this far and that should be celebrated. Yet, also acknowledge the fact that you still feel stuck or as if you are not living the life you wanted.

Why not break old habits that no longer serve you and try something different? Give yourself challenges to do in a set timeframe to help you develop better habits. Plus, it’s been proven by some Harvard students that if you give yourself a goal, you are more likely to achieve it. So you know it’s possibly true.

5. Be Accountable

A challenge without accountability is like walking the red carpet with no one taking pictures. Sure you can do it, but no one will know you walked the red carpet or will be there to celebrate the moment with you. All still doable, but it is not as enjoyable as having someone with you.

Having an accountability partner will help you achieve your goal. It’s also a way to acknowledge your accomplishments, which makes us feel good.

So where do you start?
