By now you’ve seen the box-office hit movie, Black Panther.
If not, you’re acting like you did in order to keep your dignity.
Black Panther is such an empowering movie on so many levels. If you blinked, I’m sure you missed some woke symbolism.
I love movies that inspire you to travel, but Wakanda takes wanderlust to another level. A trip to Wakanda would be like the ultimate bucket list moment of all bucket lists.
You’d seriously need to be Stevie Wonder to have walked out of the theater and not want to immediately book a trip to Wakanda after seeing Black Panther. Heck, even Stevie would want to go and he can’t see the breathtaking beauty that makes Wakanda a must travel destination.
What if I told you it was actually possible to travel to Wakanda?
Well, it’s true. You technically can travel to Wakanda without a passport. For that matter, all Americans can travel to Wakanda, which is also known as Atlanta, Georgia where most of the movie was filmed.
We hear Wakanda Airlines is advertising flights to Wakanda from Atlanta, but these appear to be glitch fares so I’d hold off on booking your accommodations.

But all jokes aside, what if Wakanda really existed? Imagine what an epic trip it would be to basically travel to Black utopia. Who wouldn’t want to visit this wealthy nation where colonialism never existed and it’s just as rich in culture?

Where to Stay
The Solange Resort & Spa
If you want to experience a truly authentic trip to Wakanda, there’s no better place to stay than at The Solange Resort & Spa located in Birnin Zana, Wakanda’s capital. This resort has an ode to self-care kind of vibe that will have you feeling like you’re high on black girl magic.
Make sure to take advantage of their spa amenities. Have a member of the Priests tribe in their royal purple robes create a herbal concoction to help you instantly let go of the things holding you back from living a purposed filled life. Or relax in a Vibranium bath.
Where to Eat
Anda
A trip to Wakanda would not be complete without a meal at Anda, the number one restaurant in the country.
Anda is a high-end restaurant with one of the most mind-boggling views and culinary experience all for a reasonable price. It makes any modern day Michelin star restaurant look like a fast food joint. One of the things we love about Anda is that they know exactly what you want and need from the time you enter the restaurant.
As you walk through the door, this technologically advanced restaurant scans your body to determine what nutrients you need and your culinary desires. Then world-renowned chef and distant cousin to Barak Obama, Asha Obama, will create your every culinary desire for the night, including her famous Vibranium gelato.
What really sets Anda apart from the other restaurants in Wakanda is its service. Once escorted to your table your seat transforms into a massage chair until your food arrives. As you enjoy your massage a telepathic chat bot reconfirms your drink and music selection for your dining experience. That’s right, you finally get to have it your way in Wakanda.
